• scenario description
  The full description of the CLIMA VII Contest scenario. This document should gives a general overview of the contest scenario, tournament setup and provides basic vocabulary used in all other CLIMA VII Contest documents.
• communication protocol specification
  Complete specification of the communication protocol between agents and the simulation server. It fills the technical details left open by the scenario description.
• agents development software packages manual
  The manual accompanying the suite of the CLIMA VII Contest software packages for agents development support. It contains also a step-by-step tutorial on how to configure and run the simulation server and demo agents.

Software Packages

We tested our packages on Linux OS and all the installation instructions refer to this setup. We are preparing the MS Windows deployment of our packages soon. In the case you need special support for other operating systems please contact organizers.

• simulation server
  The core simulation server package. Contains the binary distribution of the core CLIMA VII Contest simulation server component. When configured correctly, it can run as a standalone component with agents connected via network.
• sample agents
  Sample demo agents. The tarball contains the binary distribution of sample agent fully implementing the CLIMA VII Contest protocol and by default configured to run with the core simulation server as it is released on this page. When configured properly, sample agents can run on a different host than the core simulation server. For details see the package README file.

  Note that the package also contain Java source code of the sample agent program. By unzipping the binary JAR file in the package, you can get Java source code of the demo agent.

• simulation server monitor
  Server Monitor is a useful tool which can help a lot by CLIMA VII Contest participating agent development and debugging. It connects to the core simulation server and retrieves the current server status. It is configurable. For details, refer to the package README file.
