the MASSim-Server, including the Agents-on-Mars-scenario,
a monitor for viewing the environment,
very simple dummy-agents,
an environment-interface for connecting to the server, and
extensive documentation of all components.
In order to get started, just unpack the archive and read the readmefirst.pdf.
This release starts the "balancing phase". We have defined the scenario and we are now intending to use your cherished feedback in order to make the game fair and balanced. That is, that the overall mechanics of the game are fixed, but on top of that we would be very happy to change some variables in order to make the game more interesting. This values include but are not limited to the sizes of the graphs, the costs of the actions, the pay-off of achievements and the effect of the actions.
The next milestone is in June, where we are also going to end the balancing phase. That is, that we are going to say then, that the scenario is fixed, which in turn means that we are not going to change anything about the scenario except for bugs.
Again, feel free to give the software a try and please send us any comments. We are open to critique and would really like to discuss the scenario with you.
Starting now, we would be happy to host test-matches if the desire arises.
And finally note, that we will make up our mind about proceedings soon.
Until then, Tristan, Michael, Federico, Jürgen, Jomi
